Wells 1910 - 1997 Clarence Wells, Jr. 1912 - 1950 The Denison Press Friday, August 4, 1950 pg. 4 DEATHS Funeral services were held Friday, July 28, at Bratcher-Moore Funeral chapel for Clarence Wells, Jr., 37, M -K-T brakeman who died at the Katy hospital July 26 after an illness of 2 months. Rev. E.A. Manley and Rev. Finis Lewis conducted the services, and burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Wells was born in Ft. Worth, October 1, 1912, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wells, Sr. He was graduated from the Denison high school and attended Southeastern at Durant. He was married September 15, 1935 to Miss Dorothy Blanton, and they had one child, Frances Carolyn Wells. Mr. Wells was engaged in the retail shoe business in Denison and Sherman, and later in rado work, before entering employment of the Katy in 1942. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, the Masonic lodge, and the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.
