Established 1948  the Denison Herald July 3, 1995 pg.2 DENISON - Funeral service for Alma Warren, 99, of Denison, who died July 2, 1995 at Care Inn Nursing Home in Denison, were held Wednesday morning at Johnson-Moore Chapel. Rev. Earl Oglesbee of the Emmanuel Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Warren was born August 1, 1895 in Baldwyn, Mississippi, daughter of Robert and Mattie Williams. She married John Warren on September 11, 1913 in Baldwyn, Mississippi. He preceded her in death in 1975. She was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, John W. Warren of Bayou Vista, Texas; a sister, Lola Hurt, of Baldwyn, Mississippi; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Marvin Scott, Clarence Rowland, James Trapp, Earl Conner, Alvis Epps and Earl Minyard. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Whaley and Leon Knowles.
