Wright, 74, of Denison, who died Thursday in a local hospital, were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in East Baptist Church. Revs. Danny Wood and Billy Bush officiated and burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park, under direction of Bratcher Funeral Home. Wright was born February 6, 1913 in Lewisville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wright. He married Ethel Martin October 27, 1934 in Denison. He was a salesman for Griffin Grocery Co., for 54 years and had been a member of East Baptist Church since 1947, where he was a deacon. Survivors include his wife of Denison; four sons, Thomas, Steve and Sidney of Denison, and Mike of Fort Worth; four daughters, Gwendolyn Harlow, Linda Blankenship and Junelle Sims of Denison and Marilyn Malone of Colbert; two brothers, W.F. of Lubbock and Floyd of Denison; two sisters, Vera Hock and Flora Garner of Denison, 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Freddie Paul Wright, Donald Lee Wright, Bobby Blankenship, Johnny Sims, Jackie Malone and Edmon Harlow.  Denison Herald November 25, 1988 DENISON - Services for Ethel "Doll" Wright, 73-year-old housewife of Denison who died Thursday at her residence, were held Saturday in Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Danny Wood officiated and burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial park. Mrs. Wright was born in Paris, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Martin, and married Wayland Wright on October 27, 1934 in Denison. Mr. Wright died in 1987. She was a member of the East Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons, Thomas Wright of Memphis, Tennessee;, Steve Wright and Sidney Wright, both of Denison, and Mike Wright of Fort Worth; daughters, Gwendolyn Harlow, Linda Blankenship and Junelle Sims, all of Denison, and Marilyn Malone of Colbert, Oklahoma; stepmother, Mrs. Herschel Martin of Denison; brothers, Frank Martin of Denison; Joe Martin of Cartwright, Oklahoma; and Ralph Martin of Prosper; half brothers, Billy Martin and Dewey Lee Martin, both of Denison; and 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
