Established 1948  The Denison Press Friday, March 23, 1956 pg. 3 Funeral services for Harry L. (Doc) Winburn, 74, of 501 E. Monterey, were held at Bratcher-Moore Funeral Chapel Sunday afternoon at 3:30 with Rev. Hershel Williams and Rev. Preston Bryan officiating. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Winburn was born in Winston, Mississippi, November 15, 1881, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes Winburn. He was married in 1930 in Durant to Audrey Holland. Mr. Winburn operated a hardware store at 202 W. Main for 30 years before moving his business to Chestnut street. He also at one time worked at the Knaur Grain & Mill Company and had lived in Denison 54 years. He was a Baptist. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Paul Winburn of Denison, and Jack of McKinney; a daughter, Mrs. Geneva Spence of Ft. Worth; a step-son, Allie Ray Fawcett of Pottsboro; a brother, Pete Winburn of Sherman; and ten grandchildren.
