Established 1948 The Denison Press Friday, February 13, 1959 pg. 4 DEATHS Mrs. Ruth Evelyn Witten, 35, wife of the shop foreman at Denison Auto Co., died suddenly at her home, 3200 W. Elm at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, February 5. Funeral services were held at Johnson-Moore Chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 7th. R.H. Bankes and Johnny Johnson, Church of Christ ministers, officiated and interment was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Johnson-Moore directing. Mrs. Witten was born in Ravenna, March 27, 1923, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Moncrief. She attended Denison schools and was married July 9, 1947 to David C. Witten in Denison. She attended a beauty school in Sherman. She was a member of Morton Street Church of Christ. Survivors aside from her husband are her mother, Mrs. J.B. Moncrief, Rusk, Texas; four brothers, Henry Moncrief, Denison; Frankie E. of Tilliamcook, Oregon; Willis O. of San Diego; and J.L. of Galveston; two sisters, Mrs. Roscoe Parker, Denison, and Mrs. C.L.
