Established 1948  Denison Herald March 2, 1980 pg 2 DENISON - Funeral for Mrs. Verna B. Wright, 69, who died Friday, were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Bratcher Chapel. Burial was at Cedarlawn Cemetery with Rev. Everett Hodges officiating. Mrs. Wright died at a local hospital Friday at 7:30 p.m. following a short illness. Mrs. Wright, who resided at 1737 W. Parnell for 33 years, was born in Edhube, Texas on November 16, 1910. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Biggerstaff. She married P.R. Wright on January 13, 1925 in Bonham. Mr. Wright died in 1971. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ. Survivors include one son, Linus Wright, superintendent of the Dallas school system, Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Carlsye Wakefield, Henryetta, Oklahoma; Mrs. Geraldine McGregor, Denison; and Mrs. Reeta Farr, Denison; four sisters, Mrs. Neva Bruton, Bronte, Texas; Mrs. Elba Hertneck, Norwalk, California; Mrs. Myrtie Evers, Odessa, Texas; and Mrs. Pauline Reynolds, Pottsboro; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
