Established 1948   Sherman Democrat May 28, 1986 GORDONVILLE - Funeral for Claude Cecil Wright, 77, Justice of the Peace for Grayson County Precinct 7, were hed at 10 a.m. Friday at the Sherwood Shores Chapel, with Rev. Kyle Thurman officiating. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Huff Funeral Home handled arrangements. Wright died Tuesday in a Sherman hospital. Born November 12, 1908 in Saint Jo to Claude and Frances Howard Wright. Wright married Lena Pauline Ramsey November 17, 1935 in Oklahoma City. He was a member of the Sherwood Shores Chapel, the Masonic Lodge in Chickasha, and the Justice of the Peace and Constable Association. Before becoming Justice of the Peace in 1974, Wright spent 42 years in the retail food business including eight years with the A&P food chain in Texas and Oklahoma and 17 years with Safeway in Oklahoma. He spent another 17 years in his own store in Chickasha. Wright retired in 1968 and moved to the Sherwood Shores area. Survivors include his wife of Gordonville; son, Phillip of Richardson; daughter, Robbie Wright of Garland; and two grandchildren.
