Established 1948 Sherman Democrat February 8, 1965 pg 8 Former Sherman Man Dies in California Charlie Wright, 70, a former produce businessman of Sherman, died at 7 p.m. Sunday in Hayward, California, after a long illness. Burial was in Cedarlawn Cemetery. The body arrived in Sherman Thursday night. Mr. Wright was in the produce business in Sherman for a number of years before moving to California in 1942. He was farming in California. He was a member of the Methodist church. He was born June 7, 1895 in Texas, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. N.K. Wright. He was married to Evalina Stewart February 4, 1916. Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Dale Simmons of Sherman and Mrs. J. E. Seymore of Alameda, California; a son Charles S. Wright, Van Nuys, California; a brother, W. C. Wright of Sherman; three sisters, Mrs. F. L. Motherall of Fort Worth, Mrs. H. W. Webb and Mrs. Grace Kay, both of Port Arthur; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
