Walker 1883 - 1969 Sherman Democrat January 1, 1991 pg B-6 Denison Herald January 1, 1991 pg 2 DENISON - Mrs. Walker was born on August 1, 1885 in Dotysburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Flowers. She was 104 years old when she passed away at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas. She was reared at Gallatin, Missouri where she married Fayette H. Walker on November 25, 1905. Because he worked for the railroad, the couple lived in several cities before moving to Denison. Mrs. Walker remained active until a few months prior to her death. She did her own house and yard work, read the Bible and watched television, keeping up with world events, and staying busy writing memories for her children. She was survived by three sons, William Walker of Dallas, Texas; Fayette Walker Jr. of Amarillo, Texas; and Charles Walker of Paris, Texas; a daughter, Janet Manning of Denison; sister, Esther Lockwood of Augusta, Kansas; eight grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Waples Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a member, with Dr. Bob Robertson officiating. Memorial services were under the direction of Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison.
