Venita
"Pete" Delores Villines, 87, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday,
June 10, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Villines was born November 8,
1927 in Denison, Texas, daughter of Taylor and Lillian Carroll Condon.
She met and married James M. Villines after graduating from high
school. Venita went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone
Company as a PBX operator in Denison, then transferred to San
Francisco. Later she stopped working to devote her time to
raising her 3 children. In 1978 she moved back to Denison and
began working for John Mansville as a fork lift driver until 1983.
She then went to work for Frucon and worked there until retiring
in 1992. She was an avid reader and often said her books were her friends as a child and continued to be into adulthood. It was a great disappointment to her when her disease affected her reading. Venita loved the Lord and was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her family and was a kind and loving mother. Mrs. Villines leaves behind her beloved daughter, Tressa Pratt and husband, Rosen, of Denison, Texas; son, Clifford Villines and wife, Stormy, of Denison, Texas; grandchildren, Roxanne Carreathers; David Villines and wife, Vanessa; Lindsey Wilson and husband, Rusty; Chad Villines; Christopher Hawes and wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Rickey McKinney; Natalie Wilson; Shane Wilson; Alabama Hawes; Hudson Hawes; and numerous nices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James T. Villines; and her 8 siblings.
