Utley 30 September 1910 - 4 October 1991 Cox US Coast Guard WWII DENISON - Graveside service for Archie James Utley, 81, of Denison, who died Friday in Care Inn nursing home, were at 2 p.m. Monday in Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Dale Strawn officiating. Bratcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Utley was born September 30, 1910 in Bynum, Texas, son of Walter and Frances Utley. He married Coquilla Lankford on December 23, 1975 in Durant. He was a mechanic, a member of the Church of Christ and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Survivors include his wife; son, James of Dallas; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Denison Herald April 18, 1995 Page 2 DENISON - Graveside service for Coquilla Lankford Utley, 83, of Denison, who died April 16, 1995, at Shady Oaks Nursing Home, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cedarlawn Cemetery. Bob Monroe officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Bratcher Funeral Home. Mrs. Utley was born June 27, 1911 in Holly, Texas, the daughter of Willie Thomas and Ila G. Miller. She married L.E. Lankford November 12, 1927 in San Angelo. He died in 1969. She married Archie Utley on December 23, 1975 in Durant. He died in 1991. She taught art in her home. She was a member of Morton Street Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Don Lankford of Sherman; a daughter, Jeanne Burtis of Denison; a brother, Paul D. Miller of Bonham; two sisters, Vida Nashland of San Diego, Calif. and Helen Haddox of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
