Established 1948   The Lord called Troy Lynn Taylor, 53, to eternal life Sunday, October 5, 2019 at home with his beloved wife at his side. Mr. Taylor was born August 17, 1966 in Sherman, Texas, son of Richard Taylor and Judy Allen Hastings. He married the love of his life, Rebecca Diane Hemperly. He worked in construction, enjoyed playing video games, dancing and collecting Hot Wheels cars. Spending time with his family was what meant the most to him while making cherished memories. Troy leaves behind his wife; son and wife, Travis and Chloe Taylor Kingport, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Kristina Harris of Wylie, Texas; grandchildren, Katie Taylor, Gabe Taylor, Preston Harris and Madelynn Harris; mother and stepfather, Judy and Mike Hastings of Sherman, Texas; father and stepmother, Richard and Rhonda Taylor of Pearland, Texas; sister, Tammy Taylor of Sherman, Texas; brother, Tracy Taylor of Denison, Texas; stepsister, Angela Copeland of Belize; beloved grandmother, Joy Allen of Denison, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Taylor; stepson, Michael Dickerson; and grandparents, Henry Walker Allen, E.J. Taylor and Ladene Taylor; and great-grandparents, Cleve and Mable Cole. Funeral services were held Thursday morning, October 10, 2019 at Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Speers officiating. Interment followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Pallbearers were Tracy Taylor, Robert Cole, Ovid Cole, Derek Shields, Paul Dale Montgomery, and David Freeze. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the American Liver Foundation.
