Thorn 19 May 1942 - 21 NOV 2021  Cartwright, Oklahoma - Robert Thomas Thorn, 68, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2010 in Bells, Texas. Funeral services for Robert were held Friday afternoon, May 21, 2010 at Truth Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Denison, Texas with Rev. David Gilbert officiating. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Pallbearers were Robert Thorn, Jr., Reginald Thorn, Junior Steel, Jeremiah Donathan, Cody Smallwood, and Zack Martin. Robert was born October 25, 1941 in Gunter, Texas, son of Joseph William Thorn and Edith Dick. He married Ethel Steel in Durant, Oklahoma on February 8, 1964. He was a truck driver for Texoma Auto Care, loved his family and liked to travel. He is survived by his wife of Cartwright, Oklahoma; sons, Robert Thomas Thorn, Jr. of Bells, Texas; and Reginald Herber Thorn and wife, Reona, of Cartwright; daughters, Robin Donathan of Kingston, Oklahoma; and Twyla D. Rogers of Cartwright, Oklahoma; brother, Bill Thorn and wife, Brooksie, of Ft. Worth, Texas; sister, Darlene Bradshaw of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Joshua, Tessa, Kelsey, Cheyanne, Jeremiah, Alexis, Rick, Renee, Brittani; and great-grandson, Cayden. Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of Bratcher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas. - - - Bratcher Funeral Home  Ethel Bell Thorn, 79, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus, Sunday, November 21, 2021 at her home in Colbert, Oklahoma. Mrs. Thorn was born May 19, 1942 in Roswell, New Mexico, daughter of Arnold and Nancy Robinson Steel. She married the love of her life, Bobby Thorn. Mrs. Thorn leaves behind her sister, Betty Dill; brother, Junior Steel; sister, Shirley Hopson; daughters, Robin Donathan May and Twyla Rogers; sons, Robert Thomas Thorn, Jr. and Reginald Heber Thorn; grandchildren, Josh and Jeremiah; Tessa, Kelsey, Rick and Renee, Cheyenne, Nickki, and Britanni. Ethel was preceded in death by her beloved husband. Funeral services for Mrs. Thorn were held Tuesday afternoon, November 30, 2021 at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darren Gilbert officiating.
