Betty JoAnn Thurman, age 72, passed away January 16, 2010 in
Denison, Texas. She was born August 26, 1937 in Milo, Missouri, daughter of Carl &
Nadine Grant Chadd. She married Leroy Thurman in 1956 who preceded her
in death in 1980.
Mrs. Thurman is survived by one daughter, Sherrie Thurman, Joplin Missouri; and one son, David Thurman, Pottsboro, Texas; one brother, Roy Chadd, Kansas City, Missouri; 3 sisters Helen Henson, Tennessee; Karen Brewer, Jasper, Missouri; and Vicki Stokes, Carthage, Missouri. She is also survived by one grandson, David L Thurman; and one granddaughter, Geanna Salas. Services were scheduled for Wednesday morning, January 20, 2010 at American Funeral Services in Denison, Texas. Officiating was Rev. Bob Stevens. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas. . Pallbearers serving were Charlie Pearson, Toby Fritts, Mark Rowland, Lanny Green, Bo Price and Duke Wilson.
