Established 1948  The Denison Herald December 9, 1994 pg. 2 DENISON - Graveside service for Rena Miller Thomas, 89, who died December 7, 1994 at Texoma Medical Center, were held Saturday afternoon at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Dr. Carol Norton officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Mrs. Thomas was born October 12, 1905 in Denison, the daughter of Harry and Martha Callaway Miller. She married H.G. "Rocky" Thomas on December 28, 1940 in Atoka. She was a 1923 graduate of Denison High School and attended Grayson College. She was a school teacher for Grayson County for several years. She was a member of the Denison Garden Club, past president of the XXI Club. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. Survivors include a step-son, Dick Thomas of Sherman, Texas; a daughter, Donna Perry of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; 2 step-daughters, Oral McClaine of Denison and Ruby Leach of Hurst. Texas; a brother, Harry G. Miller, of Ft. Worth; 2 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the "I Love My Church Fund", First Baptist Church at 601 W. Woodard St. in Denison.
