Established 1948   The Herald Democrat January 22, 2013 Patricia Lou Breece Thomas left this life on Sunday, January 20, 2013 in Pottsboro to meet her Lord and Savior. Services were held Thursday afternoon, January 24, 2013 at Harvest Time Assembly of God Church with Brother Brandon Dona of Central Baptist Church in Bonham officiating. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas. Patricia was born May 12, 1943 in Honey Grove, Texas, daughter of Henry and Roberta Ruth Breece. She married John P. Thomas on July 15, 1960 in Durant, Oklahoma. Patricia and John resided in Sherman where she worked at Johnson & Johnson as a Quality Assurance Technician until her retirement in 1990. She was awarded the William H. Lycan Award for her outstanding performance as a Q.A. Technician. Patricia and John were active in the Sherman Elks Lodge. She served several years as the Elkettes president and other offices along with being Elkette of the year. Patricia was the Sherman Elks Sweatheart and raised money for the handicapped hospital in Octine, Texas, which the Elks support. She raised more money than any other Sweatheart and was crowned Texas State Sweathert. Patricia was a member of North Park Baptist Church. Patricia loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, camping and boating. Patricia was a loving wife, "Nannie", sister, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Jerry D. Thomas, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Sylvia A. Thomas; brother, Don Breece; sisters, Oleta Evans and Louise Kline; brothers-in-law, Roland "Ozzie" Kline and James T. Clark; granddaughter, Emily Thomas; and several other family members. She is survived by her sons, Terry Thomas of Sherman; Jerry Thomas, Jr. and wife, Amy, of Pottsboro; daughger, Vicki Timpson and husband, Michael, of Pottsboro; Bonnie Clark of Bonham; sister-in-law, Joan Rogers and husband, Delmar, of Pottsboro; grandchildren, Terry Thomas and wife, Julie, of Van Alstyne; Seth Thomas and fiance, Lacey Cecil, of Sherman; Jonathan Wright of Pottsboro; Brittany Ahern and husband, Sean, of Denison; Sara Cummings and husband, Kevin, of Pottsboro; Shelby Thomas of Sherman; Cassie Thomas of Pottsboro; Trinity Thomas of Sherman; and Kinzlee Thomas of Pottsboro; 5 great-grandchildren, Baylee, Liv, James, Lilly and Gavin; and dear friends, Polly Miller and Ruby Tucker.
