Established 1948   The Herald Democrat June 7, 2011 Denison - Aline Thomas, 85, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center. Mrs. Thomas was born July 10, 1925 in Denison, daughter of Raymond Marvin and Gertrude Thornhill Stapleton. Aline married the love of her life, Julius Henry Thomas. She was a bus drivers for TAPS for more than 20 years. Aline enjoyed reading in her free time. She loved the Lord and attended Amazing Grace Pentecostal Church of God. Aline was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her son, Tommy Thomas of Denison; granddaughter, Kristy Hinkle, of Sherman; great-granddaughter, Madison Hinkle; great-grandson, Christian Hinkle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Aline was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, J.C. Stapletton and Ernest Stapleton; and sister, Evelyn Williams. Graveside services were held Wednesday afternoon, June 8, 2011 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Chaplain Bryan Spurgin officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
