Established 1948 Denison Herald June 25, 1991 pg. 2 Services for Vernon Hubert Tramell, 72-year-old truck driver of Sherman, were held in Waldo Funeral Chapel. He died Sunday at Medical Plaza Hospital. Dr. Dennis Hochgraber of Parkside Baptist Church in Denison and Rev. L.D. Lamb of Denison officiated. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Tramell was born in Frankston, son of Dennis Tramell and Rosa Letha Dent Tramell. A World War II Army veteran, he served in the infantry and participated in the invasion of Germany. He was awarded the American Theater Campaign, EAME Campaign, and Asiatic Pacific Campaign medals and the Overseas Service Bar. He had been employed by Lattimore Construction Co. and Bradley Excavating and was a Baptist. Surviving are his sons, Johnny Tramell of Chicago, Illinois; and Tommy Tramell of Denison; daughter, Georgia Osborne of Pottsboro; brother, James E. Tramell of Sherman; sisters, Ruby Tramell of Sherman, Lou Tice of Denison, and Ann Gryttenholm of Dumas; and 4 grandchildren.
