Martha Ford Tilson was born December 1, 1925 in Blue Ridge and passed away on July 14, 2010 at Pleasant Hill Nursing Home in Missouri. Services for Martha, 84, of Kingsville, Missouri, and formerly of Sherman, were held July 19, 2010 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. She worked for Sherman Independent School District for more than 35 years and retired from Grayson County College. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary and an avid volunteer at the VA hospital in Bonham. She was lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn and husband, Keith; June and husband, James, all of Missouri; and Lisa and husband, Charlie, of Sherman; three sons, Donnie and wife, Judy; Johnny and wife, Nita; and Paul and wife, Gail, all of Sherman; grandchildren, Danny, Carl, Christopher, Crystal, Chelsi, Stacy, Amy, Carly, Glenda, Shad, Amanda, Starla, Travis and Jonathon; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Oleta Dillon; and her husbands, Carl B. Ford and Robert A. Tilson; and three granddaughters.
