Established 1948   V. Leota Tanner 1921 - 2002 Willard A. Tanner 1917 - 1994 wed June 2, 1940 Denison Herald August 23, 1994 pg. 2 DENISON - Services for Willard "Son" Archie Tanner, 76, of Denison, were held Wednesday morning in Bratcher Funeral Chapel. He died Monday in Garland. Rev. Bob Stevens officiated with burial in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Tanner was born in Mexia, son of Herman and Marion Tanner. On June 2, 1940, he married Vera Leota Hooper in Rockwall. He was a chef at the Ramada Inn in Sherman, and was retired. He was a member of Parkside Baptist Church. Pallbearers were James "Buddy" Clay, Wayne Sharp, Bob Dralle, Charles Hampton, David Burkhart and Jerry O'Conner. Surviving are his wife; daughter, Linda O'Connor of Garland; sister, Marion Elizabeth Barnes of Dallas; 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
