Denison - Funeral service for  H.A. "Bill" Towers, 73, who died January 31, 1995 at North Hills Hospital in Ft. Worth, were held Friday morning at Green Wood Mount Olivet Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Dick Schmidt officiated.  Burial was in the afternoon at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas.
Towers was born on December 28, 1921 in Lawrence County, Missouri, son of Ralph W. and Emma May Allen Towers.  He was educated in Missouri.  He married Ethel Jeanne Keathley on November 2, 1941 in Berkley, California.  He was a retired Mobile Home Dealer in Ft. Worth.  He was a member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church in North Richland Hills.  He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Gary Allen Towers of Granbury, Texas; 2 brothers, Harold Efton Towers of Denison and Ralph Wayne Towers of Pierce City, Missouri; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Denison - Funeral for Ethel Jeanne Towers, 70, of North Richland Hills, formerly of Denison, who died January 9, 1993, in North Richland Hills Nursing Home, were held Thursday morning in Mount Olivet Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Dick Schmidt officiated.  Graveside services were in the afternoon at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas. 
Mrs. Towers was born April 19, 1922 in Aurora, Missouri, daughter of Luther A. and Agnes I. Gillham Keithley.  She was educated in Missouri and married Harlan A. Towers November 2, 1941 in Berkeley, California.  Mrs. Towers was a retired bank teller and a member of St. Pauls Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband; son, Gray, of Granbury; sister, Belva Taft of Crete, Illinois; 3 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Harold Efton Towers
3 May 1920 - 10 December 1995

DENISON - Services were held Wednesday morning at First Presbyterian Church for Harold Towers, who died December 10, 1995, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Dr.'s Jimmy and Katie Hopper officiated. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Bratcher Funeral Home.
Harold was born May 3, 1920 in Lawrence County, Missouri, son of Ralph W. and Emma May Allen Towers. He was one of 4 brothers, Floyd Emmett Towers, Harold Efton Towers, Harlan Allen Towers, and Ralph Wayne Towers. He was educated in Missouri. He entered the military service on February 21, 1942. He served in the U.S. Army, 27th Infantry Regiment and the 25th Division. He served 40 months in South Pacific during World War II and saw combat on Guadalcanal, New Georgia, Arundel, Kolomon Gara in the Solomon Island Group. Later he was in the invasion on Luzon Island, being there until the end of the war. He received an Army Good Conduct Medal, Phillipine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star and an Infantry Rifleman Badge.
He worked in Detroit, Michigan for 2 years and moved to Denison in 1946. He worked for Line Material Industries in Sherman for 9 years and retired from L.T.V. in Dallas after 23 years. Harold was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the V.F.W. in Denison.
Survivors include a brother, Ralph Wayne Towers of Pierce City, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were David Towers, Bob Towers, Kris Towers, Dennis Towers, Joe O'Hara, and Dean Crady. Honorary pallbearers were Keith and Gary Powers.
Family suggest memorials be made to Texoma Medical Center Cardiac Rehab Center.
