Taylor 4 May 1919 - 8 December 1999 Staff Sergeant US Army WWII Denison Herald August 5, 1993 P-2 SHERMAN - Funeral for Margie L. Taylor, 65, who died Aug. 3, 1993 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital, were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rick Johnson officiated and burial followed in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Taylor was a retired assembly worker for Texas Instruments in Sherman, and a member of Tushka Baptist Church. She was born November 15, 1927 in Fillmore, Oklahoma, the daughter of James Holt and Ellie May Griggs. She married Thurman C. Taylor on December 19, 1941 in Ward Chapel, Oklahoma. Survivors include her husband of Denison; two sons, Larry Taylor of Sherman and Jerry Taylor of Denison; Linda Culbertson of Omaha, Nebraska; one brother, Alfred Ray Hold of Sutter City, California; three sisters, Nedra Mayo of Oklahoma City, Betty Dawson of Checotah, Oklahoma, and Billie Tyler of Hurst; and four grandchildren.
