Established 1948    Funeral services for Barry Milton Stephens, 77, of Sherman, Texas were held Saturday morning, March 30, 2013 graveside at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. Scott Holcomb-McLain of First United Methodist Church in Van Alstyne, Texas officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas. Barry passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Barry was born on December 6, 1935 in Sherman, Texas, son of Clyde Thompson Stephens and Oma Lee Fisher Stephens. He joined and served in the United States Army. Barry worked for General Telephone for 35 years. He was a member of the ARRL Ham Radio Association and had received his extra class license. He married Martha Moss on August 17, 1963 in Tom Bean, Texas. Barry loved his grandchildren and spending time with his family. He was of the Presbyterian Faith. He is survived by his wife Martha Stephens of Sherman, Texas; one daughter, Jill Grisham and husband, Mark, of Van Alstyne, Texas; one son, Jason Stephens and wife, Christina, of Tom Bean, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Pate, and Hunter Grisham. Barry is also survived by one niece, Tammy Brazeal and 3 nephews, Nathan Gray, Mike Moss, and Tim Moss. He was preceded in death by his parents.
