Established 1948 The Herald Banner July 29, 2008 pg.A6 Dianne Gale Skipworth, 63, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on July 26, 2008 after a brief illness. Dianne passed away Saturday surrounded by several of her beloved family members at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Services were Wednesday morning, July 30, 2008 in the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Irby McKnight, Assembly of God minister of Sherman, officiated, followed by burial at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Dianne was born on July 20, 1945 in Gainesville, Texas, the only child of Herman J. Flusche and Marjorie Ruth Flusche. She moved to Sherman in 1950, attended Sherman public schools and graduated from Sherman High School in 1963. Dianne's interests included antiques, real estate, traveling and shopping. She loved her precious time spent in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas where she and her husband owned and operated three Bed and Breakfasts. It was one of her most cherished memories and proudest accomplishments. Dianne was also a real estate agent in Sherman for many years. She worked for ABC Realty, Tom Willis Realty and Travis Cook Realtors. Dianne was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She was know for her incredible love of live, her ambition, her generosity, her endless energy and also her blue eyes that were as blue as the Texas skies, and her smile that would warm the coldest heart. She will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family and everyone who knew her. One only had to know her to love her. She is survived by her loving husband, Billy Jack Skipworth, whom she married October 6, 1986 in Whitewright, Texas. She is also survived by her 3 sons, Paul Crawford and wife Jessica of Saint Peters, Missouri; Brian Cross of Dallas; and Brent Cross of Denison; her 3 daughters Tammy Coker and husband Arthur of Sherman; Vanessa Skipworth of Sherman; and Crystal Lowery and husband Eddie of Denison. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Scarlett Gilbert, Michael Perez, Amanda Perez, Artie Coker, Kathryn Dianne Coker, Ashley Coker, Percila Skipworth, Kayden Lowery, Stephanie Crawford, Courtney Crawford, Joseph Crawford and Mia Crawford; also survived by five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, William Burton Norris and Grace Ethel Norris. Pallbearers were Eddie Lowry, Michael Perez, Arthur Coker and Kelly Gilbert. Billy Jack Skipworth went to his Eternal Home on June 4, 2019. Billy was born to Hoyt and Evorie Skipworth on July 24, 1948 in Whitewright, Texas, where he grew up and graduated from high school in May of 1966. He was then drafter into the Army in 1968 and served 2 years in Germany as a helicopter mechanic. After he served, he came home and started a family with 2 daughters, Vanessa and Crystal. He devoted himself to be the best father a man could be. While raising his daughters, he worked as a supervisor at Tidal Systems for 20 years in Carrolton, Texas/ He was proud to have designed the unique safes used in the 7-eleven stores nationwide. In 1985 he married Dianne White in Whitewright, Texas. They made their home Sherman, Texas for 23 years. Together they became realtors, then they started their own business where they owned and managed their own property. They had a love like no other. They both had a passion for traveling and spending time in Branson. They also owned 3 bed & breakfasts in Eureka Springs. Billy was an ordained minister and loved spending time helping couples become one. Dianne passed suddently in July of 2008. Billy was fortunate to have found love again on June 5, 2010 when he met Janelle "Jenny" Dennis. It was an immediate spark from the start. After sharing a beautiful friendship, they found that their paths had crossed so many times in life, it was destiny that they finally found the love that they had both longed for. On June 22, 2013 he and Jenny vowed their love to one another in front of their family and friends, which is a bond of lasting love that cannot be denied. Through their marriage they enjoyed dancing, listening to country music, watching "Gunsmoke" and watching their family grow. They were so proud of all their children's accomplishments. Billy spent a lot of time taking care of his buddy, Pepper. They went most everwhere together. BIlly had a love for the Lord and always had a strong faith in God. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dianne; sisters, Betty and Pauline; brothers, Jimmy and Charles. He is survived by his wife, Janelle Dennis Skipworth; daughters, Vanessa Skipworth, Crystal Harris-Murphy and Jason; Tammy Coker and husband, Art, all of Sherman; Kim and Lee Turner of Poncha City, Oklahoma; Sharon Bockemehl and John, of Durant, Okalhoma; son, Jeff Deniis III of Durant, Oklahoma; Brian Cross of Dallas, Texas; Brent Cross of Denison; and Paul Crawford of Missouri; also 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Saturday afternoon, June 8, 2019 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
