Dee Smith, 84, of Garland, Texas was born October 3, 1924 and passed
away March 26, 2009. He retired from the Garland Branch of the
United States Post Office where he worked as a Customer Service
Representative. During World War II, Mr. Smith proudly served his country as a sergeant in the Unites States Army. He is survived by his son, Wilbur Smith and wife, LaVerne; daughter, Debbie Fulton and husband, David; and 2 grandsons, Derek Fulton and Drake Fulton; brothers, James Smith and wife, Margaret; Chuck Smith and wife, Sharon; Donnall Smith and wife, Brenda; sister, Onetta Moody and husband, Thomas; Teddie Callaway and husband, Charlie; and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Floyd Smith and Clarence Smith; and sister, Mary Calhoun. Funeral services were held Monday morning, March 30, 2009 in Williams Memorial Chapel; interment followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas.
