Lee Bird Smith was born August 1, 1916 in Randolph, Texas. She
attended schools in Bonham, Texas and graduated from Durant High School
in Durant, Oklahoma. She attended Southeastern Teachers College
in Durant, Oklahoma for 2 years and completed Draughn's Business
College in Dallas. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Haring's
Office Supply, North Texas Air Conditioning Co. and Sherman Community
Hospital. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for
47 years. She was also a member of Key Memorial United Methodist
Church where she volunteered with the Key Care Center. Reva is survived by her daughter, Sandra Oliver of Irving, Texas; 2 sisters, Mary McCoy of Sherman and Mattie Lois Peterson of McHenry, Illinois; brother, E.A. Bird, of Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Smith, in August 1983.
