Stafford 23 December 1924 - 11 December 2005 Sergeant US Army WWII Silver Star Bronze Star Medal Purple Heart Oak Leaf Cluster The Herald Democrat July 29, 2012 Denison - Edna Faye Stafford, 82-year-old Denison resident, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at The Homestead of Denison. Graveside services were held Monday morning, July 30 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Carol Manery officiating. Mrs. Stafford was born July 20, 1930 in Savoy, daughter of Horace Greely and Ruth May Johnson Hicks. She married Harold Stafford on September 4, 1947. She worked for Levi Strauss as a seamstress and was a homemaker. Mrs. Stafford is survived by her sons, Farrell Mike Stafford and wife, Robin, of Sherman; and Robert Wesley Stafford of Denison; daughter, Harriet Ruth Williams of Sherman; sister, Joyce Burnett and husband, Ernest Lee, of Norman, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Jim Hicks, Marvin Hicks and Wesley Hicks. Johnson-Moore Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
