Funeral
services were held Friday afternoon at the Central Baptist Church with
Rev. Lloyd S. Ledbetter, pastor, conducting the rites, assisted by Rev.
V.L. Morris. Burial was in Cedarlawn Cemetery under the direction
of Barrett Funeral Home. Born October 4, 1932 in Sherman, Mrs. Scheider, the former Miss Patsy L. Cordell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Cordell of Whitewright. She was married to Glen Schneider December 7, 1949 in Sherman. She attended Southmayd schools and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include 4 sons, Terry Glen, Kenneth Alan, Steven Mark and Phillip Wade Schneider; her parents of Whitewright; 4 brothers, Robert Cordell and L.C. Cordell of Sherman; Alton Cordell of Denison; and Terry Cordell of Whitewright; 5 sisters, Almeda Smallwood of Bells; Mrs. Frank Mathena of Ault, Oklahoma; Elouise Spencer of Whitewright; Lorene Johnson of Denison; and Mrs. Kenneth Steele of Orange; and several nieces and nephews The Sherman Democrat February 11, 1990 pg. A2 Glen Franklin Schneider was born September 30, 1928 in Roy, New Mexico, son of Elo and Allie Cole Schneider. After an extended illness, he died at his home in Howe, Texas. He moved to Luella, Texas in 1931 and attended school in Luella and Howe. Subsequently he joined the US Navy in 1948 and served until 1952. He was a Storekeeper 3rd Class. Glen married Patsy Lou Cordell on December 14, 1949. He was 21 and Patsy was 17. They had 4 sons. Patsy passed away on August 31, 1960. On May 2, 1968 Glen married Miss Theresa Futch in Sherman, Texas. Theresa had 2 sons and Glen had 4; Thersa and Glen had a daughter - total of 7 children. Mr. Schneider worked in the traffic department at Hardwicke-Etter Company in Sherman for 18 years and had been employed as a salesman for Ken-Mart Auto Parts Company since 1971. He was a member of the Grayson Bible Baptist Church of Sherman. Glen is surived by his wife; sons, Terry "Butch" Schneider of Huntsville, Texas; Kenneth Schneider of Rogers, Texas; Mark Schneider, Phillip Schneider and Ricky Brinlee, all of Howe; and Robert Brinlee of Sherman; daughter, Laura Garner of Sherman; brother, Walter Schneider of Howe; sisters, Evelyn Fuller and Thelma Nell Lacross, both of Odessa, Texas; Jessie Hise and Betty Williams, both of Howe; and Aleta Elliott of Kansas City, Kansas; 13 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Jim Koonce of the First Baptist Church of Howe. His sons served as pallbearers.
