Established 1948 Brenda L. Springfield, 79, formerly of Denison, ascended to her eternal home Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at her son's residence in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The funeral service was held Saturday morning, August 26, 2023 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Denison, Texas. Rev. Alton Blakely was the Host Pastor and Rev. Michael Braxton delivered the eulogy. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas. Craig Anthony Springfield entered this life on April 7, 1970 in Chester, Pennsylvania. Craig went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 28, 2016 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 46 years, 4 months and 21 days. Craig began his education at Lamar Elementary. He went to Hughes Junior High, which is presently known as B. McDaniel Middle School. Craig graduated from Denison High School in 1989, and then attended Cisco Junior College, Paul Quinn and Emporia State University. Craig made many lifelong friendships in college, and was a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Franternity. He was of the Baptist faith. Craig enjoyed working with children and assisted in coaching at B. McDaniel in Denison and the Wichita Cowboys Little League, Wichita Yellow Jackets Little League; and he was an intensive Foster Care Parent. He made a positive impact on many young lives. He also enjoyed playing dominos and loved spending time with his family, freinds and fellow fraternity members. He was an entertainer and his remarkable personality will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved hime. Preceding him in death are his paternal and maternal grandparents; his father, Cornell John Springfield, III; and his son, Anthony Tomas Springfield. Craig is survived by his mother, Brenda Springfield, of Denison; son, Brendon Springfield, of Indianapolis; daughter, Brilee Mosiman of Kansas City, Missouri; wife, Beatrice, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and Brent Springfield and wife, Misti, of Euless, Texas; sister, Candice Springfield of Sherman, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday morning, September 3, 2016 at Trinity Lighthouse Church in Denison, Texas. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas.
