Established 1948    Marvin Vernon Scott, 97, entered into eternal life Friday, December 14, 2018 at Meadowood Assisted Living in Grapevine, Texas. Mr. Scott was born January 6, 1921 in Kemp, Oklahoma, son of George and Emma Stowers Scott. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Lee Howard, February 28, 1947 in Sherman, Texas. After 45 years in maintenance, he retired from the Corps of Engineers. He was a man of God, devoted husband, beloved father and grandfather. He leaves a legacy of integrity, kindness, love of family and God. Marvin lived a life of example and was loved and respected by all who crossed his path. Mr. Scott leaves behind his family - grandson Jason Adams and wife, Janet, of Grapevine, Texas; great-grandchildren, Garrett Adams and Lauren Adams, both of Grapevine; and the McGuire family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and daughter, Linda Bernice Adams. Graveside services were held Saturday morning, December 22, 2018 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Keith Taylor officiating.
