October 18, 2009 DENISON - Evelyn Fern Scoggins, 83, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009 at Texoma Medical Center. Evelyn was born on April 21, 1926, daughter of Ray and Fern McComb Kious. She was a member of Waples United Methodist Church, Beaucent of Knight Templar, Denison Service League, Thursday Review Club, 1st President Katy Hospital Auxiliary and N.A.R.V.E. Evelyn will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her 3 children, Janice (husband Rick) Conner of Telephone; Sandy (husband Jamie) Barnes of Sherman; and Ronnie (wife Sandy) Scoggins of Lindale; sister, Willa Mae Davis of Denison; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandsons. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband R.W.; and a sister, Dorothy Turner. Funeral services for Evelyn were held Tuesday morning, October 20, 2009 at Waples United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. Interment followed immediately at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman. Pallbearers for Evelyn were her grandsons, Robert Allen, Brian McLinsky, James Scoggins, Russell Scoggins, Roger Scott, Jared Scoggins, Trey Patterson, Joe Wright and Matt Jacobson. Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of Bratcher Funeral Home, Denison.
