Established 1948   Glenn Sanders 17 February 1955 - 29 December 2012  The Herald Democrat December 30-31, 2012 Services to celebrate Glenn Edward Sanders, Sr. life, 57, were held Wednesday morning, January 2, 2013 in Chapel on the Hill at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman with Tom Armstrong officiating. Services were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Glenn died on Saturday, December 29, 2012 in Sherman at Presbyterian Health Hospital-WNJ. Glenn was born February 17, 1955 in Dallas, son of Deryle Sanders, Sr. and Norma Jean Jackson. He grew up in South Oak Cliff, part of Dallas, and was a graduate of Savoy High School in 1974. Glenn worked for Health Trends for more than 10 years and was employed by the Denison ISD for 5 years. He enjoyed watching television and taking walks. Glenn was the biggest fan of Elvis and an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Survivors include his son, Glenn Sanders, Jr. of Savoy; daughter, Heather Sanders, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; siblings, Mike Sanders of Savoy; Deryle Sanders of Savoy; Jim Sanders of Rockwall; Bruce Sanders of Southmayd; Cheryl Hair of Colbert, Oklahoma; Patty Lemons of Sherman; and Donny Sanders of Bonham; and 4 grandchildren.
