Established 1948 Funeral services for Joseph Franklin Robertson were held Friday morning, April 22 at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Rev. Mike Flanagan of the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro officiated. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Fred Watson, Earl Lampkin, Terry Stephens, Don Till, Tommy Yates, Mike Robertson, Kenny Jones, and John Henderson serving as pallbearers. Mr. Robertson, 64, passed away Tuesday, April 19 at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant, Oklahoma. Joe was born January 22, 1947 in Sherman, son of Billy R. Robertson, Sr. and Dorine Huey Robertson. He married Jackie Troxtell on July 28, 1989 in Sherman. Joe worked as a meat cutter at Kroger's and as a Honda mechanic for West Motors for several years. Later, he co-owned R&R Electronics and retired from Texas Instruments where he had worked in telecommunications. Joe was an avid outdoorsman. His passion for hunting and fishing was second only to the joy he found when spending time with his grandkids. Joe is survived by his wife, Jackie, of Durant, Oklahoma; 4 sons, Brad Robertson of Collinsville; Brian Robertson of Durant, Oklahoma; Clint Sutherland and his wife, Christina, of Howe; and Garret Sutherland and wife, Trish, of Sherman; father, Billy Robertson, Sr. of Sherman; 9 grandchildren, Ryan Robertson, Kyler Robertson, Kade Robertson, Livi Robertson, Ashlyn Dickens, Haley Sutherland, Xander Sutherland, Emma Sutherland, and Mason Sutherland; brother, Billy Robertson, Jr. and wife, Marsha, of Whitesboro; sister, Linda Detro and husband, Mike, of Sherman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
