Established 1948   Tommye J. Robinson 1924 - 2010  The Herald Democrat November 3, 2010 Sherman - Funeral services for Tommye Juanita Robinson. 86. formerly of Sherman were held Thursday morning, November 4, 2010 at the Waldo Funeral Home chapel with Rev. James Heffington of Forest Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Entombment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Kenneth Antley, David Minshew, Patrick Cates, Thom Robinson, Eric Robinson, Chris Hykel, Richard Cass, Lee Minshew, and Christopher Cates. Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funearl Home in Sherman. She passed away November 1, 2010 at Pflugerville Care Center in Pflugerville. Tommye was born March 5, 1924 in Dorchester, daughter of Thomas Blakey Jeffress and Beuna Kilgore Jeffress. She attended Dorchester schools. Tommye owned and operated The Chefette in Sherman from 1973 to 1992. She is survived by her children, Ron Robinson and wife, Darla, of Crandall; Charles Robinson and wife, Susan, of Richardson; Deb Cates and husband, Patrick, of Dallas; Bronna Cathey and husband, Kenneth Antley, of Round Rock; and Myke Michelle Minshew and David of Johnson City; grandchildren, Thom Robinson, Eric Robinson, Sabra Niles, Charla Kiser, Stephanie Hykel, Rachel Cass, Christopher Cates, Joshua Daniel, Krystal Minshew, and Lee Minshew. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and many friends. Tommye was preceded in death by her parents; her only brother, Bob Jeffress.
