Established 1948    Jerry Wayne Russell, 74, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Bells, Texas. Mr. Russell was born November 26, 1943, son of Robert and Vera Thorsen Russell. He married the love of his life, Bonnie Grigsby. He served his country proudly in the US Marines during the Vietnam War. After 48 years, he retired from Wolverine World Wide. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing, deer hunting and loved being around horses. Mr. Russell leaves behind his wife of 37 years; daughters, Andrea Gallagher and husband, Jim, of Wyoming, Michigan; Cindi Closser and husband, Rob, of Rockford, Michigan; grandchildren, Tasha Gallagher, Chace Gallagher, Kacee Gallagher, and Sam Closser; sisters, Judy Russell of Rockford, Michigan; and Roberta Tiffany and husband, Daniel, of Edmore, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Don Russell. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 30. 2018 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Dennis Noblett officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. - - - Fisher Funeral Home.
