Established 1948   Timothy "Shawn" Rodkey went home to be with our Lord, December 6, 2022, at his home in Plano, Texas. He was a good Christian man who loved his family and friends. He was employed by Encore Wire Inc., where he was a respected member of the maintenance team. Shawn is survived by his wife, Zelta Marie Rodkey of Plano, Texas; daughter, Samantha Jo Dunham of Independence, Missouri; son, Tyler Joseph Arden of Grandview, Missouri; sisters, Maxine Renee Pollack of Palm Beach, Florida; and Kristi Marjean Rodkey of Joshua, Texas; brother, Bobby Eugene Dady of Kansas City, Missouri. Shawn had 4 grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. Shawn was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Tiler Rodkey; mother, Barbara Louise Colton; father, Timothy Jay Rodkey; sister, Charrisa J'Ann Brandt. Funeral service for Timothy was held Monday afternoon, December 23, 2022 at New Beginning Fellowship Church with Pastor Gene Amerson officiating. Interment folowed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Pallbearers were William Moore, Darrin Lichnovsky, Mike Macdonald, Shaun Lay, David Miller, and Kevin Brooks. Honorary Pallbearers were the entire maintenance team at Encore Wire, Inc.
