Established 1948 Nettie Pritchett, of Sherman, Texas, passed away at her home Saturday morning, September 2, 2023 with her son, Andy and sister, Jennie by her side. Nettie Pritchett was born June 12, 1940, in Baldwyn, Mississippi, daughter of William and Eula Hill Floyd. She was one of 9 children. She graduated from Guntown High School. She later moved to Sherman where she attended Grayson County Junior College. She was employed by Texas Instruments for 25 years, where she was a supervisor. Nettie was a long time member of Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman and faithfully attended the Well Church for as long as her health allowed. Nettie was a kindhearted person that would help anyone in need. She was a very happy and outgoing person. She had numerous friends with whom she's share friendships with for over 50 years. She enjoyed going shopping, playing dominoes, attending Bible study, going to friends' birthday parties, and going out to eat with her friends. Nettie Nettie was preceded in death by son, John Pritchett, whom she loved and missed so much; 3 sisters, Myrtie Brown, Betty Stanford and Daisy Cook, all from Mississippi; 4 nephews and 5 brothers-in-law. Those left to honor Nettie's memory are her son, Andy Pritchett of Sherman; granddaughter, Lydia Inboden and husband, Eric, of Dallas; great-granddaughters, Emma, Inboden and Scarlett Inboden, both of Dallas. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Mary Wren, Eloise Underwood and Jennie Ryland, all of Baldwyn, Mississippi; one brother, Meril Floyd and wife, Reba, of Saltillo, Mississippi; and many other family members that she loved dearly. The funeral service was held Wednesday morning, September 6, 2023 at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. James Moore officiated. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
