April 14-15, 2014 Denison - Cecil Earl Perkins, 63, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, surrounded by his family at his home in Denison. Mr. Perkins was born July 31, 1950 in Denison, Texas, son of William and Modine Steward Perkins. Cecil married the love of his life, Jerrie Rhoades on March 28, 1968 in Sherman. Together they raised a family and simply loved life. Mr. Perkins worked at Reedrill as a supervisor for over 10 years; he co-owned C&P Paint and Body Shop for 24 years with Buddy Crabtree, and he and his wife owned the Colbert Coffee Shop for 6 years. He had a passion for cars and he loved to fish any chance he got. Cecil loved his family beyond measure, and they will miss him deeply. Mr. Perkins is survived by wife of 46 years; 2 daughters, Stacy Perkins and Vicki Jones; 8 grandchildren; one sister, Lucille Marshall; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his 2 sons, Robert "Robby" Perkins and William "Bill" Jones; his parents; and one sister, Patricia Harris. Funeral services for Mr. Harris was held Tuesday afternoon, April 14, 2014 at Fisher Funeral Home with Gary Marhsall officiating. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Services were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas.
