Established 1948  Larry
Ben Pittman, 75, of Denison, Texas passed into the arms of Jesus on
November 7, 2021. His life was celebrated by family and friends
in a graveside service Wednesday morning, November 10, 2021 at
Cedarlawn Cemetery in Denison, Texas. Larry was born the son of F.W. and Aline Pittman of Denison, Texas on November 5, 1946. He attended high school in Denison and recevied his Bachelor's Degree in Education from East Texas State University. He served his country during the Vietnam War as a radar specialist in the Air Force. After the Air Force, he went to work for the Civil Service in Lubbock, Texas. Larry also taught History at Texas Tech University. Larry loved college and NFL football. After retirement Larry moved back to Denison, Texas. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving family include his sister, Linda Badgett and Kevin Newton of Kansas City, Missouri; niece, Kari Holt of Conroe, Texas; 2 nephews, Mike and Laura Holt of Spring, Texas; and Kevin and Alisha Hillman of Spring, Texas; amd several cousins. Graveside services were held Wednesday morning, November 10, 2021 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Chaplain Chuck Dodd officiating in Sherman, Texas.
