Established 1948 Bobby Joe Palmore, 76, was called home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Texoma Medical Center. He was born March 6, 1940 in Ravenna, Texas, son of Joseph and Marguerite Banks Palmore. Bobby married Linda Ann Means in Denison on August 8, 1958. After working 37 years he retired from Pillsbury in 2002. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed spending time outdoors with his sons and friends. Bobby loved baseball and was a huge Texas Rangers fan; and he took pride in watching his children and grandchildren play baseball. Bobby loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed playing slot machines and scratching lotto tickets. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Palmore is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Palmore, of Denison, Texas; sons, Joey Palmore and wife, Vicki, of Colbert, Oklahoma and Steven Palmore and wife, Gwynne, of Denison, Texas; grandchildren, Danielle Followell and husband, Brannon; Jesse Palmore and wife, Ashley; Cody Palmore; Amy Gordon and husband, Bryon; Kurtis Smith and wife, Angie; and Ricky Smith; 7 great-grandchildren, Parker, Steven, Erik, Drake, Matti, Sarah, Jacob, and another on the way; sister, Brenda Blackshear of Longview, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bud and Hazel Means; Margaret Moore, Wanda and Jim Collins; Craig and Cathy Pulley; and Ricky and Debbie Means. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jackie Wayne Palmore; brothers-in-law, Bryan Blackshear and Ralph Moore; and beloved son, Michael Palmore. Denison - Linda Ann Palmore, 78, was called home by her heavenly father on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center. Mrs. Palmore was born June 1, 1942 in Denison, Texas, daughter of Azle and Christine Ford Means. Linda married Bobby Joe Palmore in Denison on August 8, 1958. After working 18 years at Levi's and 19 years at Raytheon, she retired in 2004. She took pride in working hard and a job well done. After she retired, she devoted her time to family and faith. Her precious memories are the close relationships she had with her husband, parents, siblings, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed making holiday memories for her family. She decorated for every holiday. Usually with a beanie baby or two. She will always be remembered for her Thanksgiving turkey, dressing and dumplings. She enjoyed spending time watching her children and grandchildren playing baseball as well as attending Texas Rangers games. She also enjoyed tripes to WinStar and Branson with her husband and siblings. She had a knack for telling stories with vivid detail. Her favorite story to share/scare her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the story of the Big Toe. She took great care in recording memories for her family with individual scrapbooks and picture albums. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Palmore is survived by her sons, Joey Palmore and wife, Vicki, of Colbert, Oklahoma; and Steven Palmore and wife, Gwynne, of Denison, Texas; grandchildren, Danielle Followell; Jessie Palmore and wife, Ashley; Cody Palmore; Amy Gordon; Kurtis Smith and wife, Angie; and RIcky Smith; 9 great-grandchildren, Parker, Paxton, Lydia, Steven, Erik, Drake, Matti, Sarah, Jacob, and another on the way - Paisley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ricky and Debbie Means; and Hazel Mean; Margaret Moore; Wanda and Jim Collins; Craig and Cathy Pulley; brother and sisters-in-law, Ricky and Debbie Means and Hazel Means. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Bud Means; sister and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Bryan Blackshear; and Ralph Moore; and beloved son, Michael Palmore. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jesse Palmore; Ricky Smith; Kurtis Smith; Erik Smith; and granddaughters, Danielle Followell and Amy Gordon. Ashley Palmore, Parker Palmore, Paxtom Palmore, and Lydia Followell were honorary pallbearers. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Febr uary 9, 2021 at Fisher Funeral Home with pastor Ricky Means officiating. Interment followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
