Established 1948    Jerry Don Pinkston passed away Christmas evening surrounded by his family. He was 71 years old. He was a former proud member of the United States Air Force. The dedication he felt toward his cou ntry was always ever present. Following in his father's footsteps, he began working for the phone company. He retired in 2011 from Verizon, after working 38 years. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Ouida Pinkston; sister, Nancy Greene; and brother-in-law, Nicholas Anderson. Surviving Jerry at the home is wife, Sharon; Other remaining family members include sister, Patricia Anderson-Schrock and husband, Jack; two children, Robert Pinkston and wife, Brook; and daughter, April Pinkston and wife, Krystal. Also step-daughter, Wendy Lyons; step-sons, Eddie Leyva and wife, Rhonda; Jerral Leyva and wife, Cassandra; and Joey Buckwalter and wife, Erin. Also, 3 nieces, 1 nephew; 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Thursday morning, December 31, 2020.
