Virginia Louise Gregg Painter joined her loving husband, parents, brothers, sisters, and other loved ones for a family reunion. Mrs. Painter passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 at The Homestead of Denison. She was born August 18, 1926 in Denison, Texas, daughter of Arley and Mary Corbitt Gregg. She married Billy C. Painter in Denison, Texas in 1956. Mrs. Painter was a lifelong member of Harless Memorial United Methodist Church in Denison and a lifelong resident of Denison. She was involved in several organizations, The Golden Girls, active in Annual Golden Rule School Reunion, Women's Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars at Pottsboro; and United Methodist Women. She is survived by her son, Dennis Gregg and wife, Shirley, their children, Troy, Shannon, Cristen and Leah; son, Steven Gregg and wife, Linda, their children, Tiffany and R.C.; daughter, Lisa McBride and husband, Rodger, their children, Shawna, Joshua, and Tisha; daughter, Rhonda Painter Youngblood and son, Kristopher; sister, Mary Frances Gladen, of Sherman; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, March 9, 2007 at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. Rev. Bill Brown officiated with interment following. Bratcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
