Established 1948   Sadler - Funeral services for Andra Ruth Pool were held Saturday morning, September 29, 2108 at First Baptist Church of Sherman with Dr. Mike Lawson of the church officiating. Burial followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Pool, 70, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at her home in Sadler after a 2-year battle with cancer. Andra was born July 7, 1948 in Sherman to Otis and Alma Harris Cottrell. She gradiated from Sherman High School in 1966 and married Don Pool on May 22, 1970 in Sherman. Mr. Pool worked in the medical field all her life and was most recently employed at Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Sherman. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, reading, cheering the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers; and she looked forward to the monthly dinners with her Sunday School class. Mrs. Pool is survived by her husband of 48 years; two sons, Gary Pool and wife, Mary, of Sadler; and Mark Pool of Sadler; 2 grandchildren, Grayson Pool of Sadler and Gretchen Pool of Sherman; brother, Kenneth Cottrell and wife, Linda, of Lewisville; nephew, Ryan Cottrell of Lewisville; and cousin, Marg Pinion and husband, Bob, of Sherman. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to the Preserving the Legacy Fund at First Baptist Church, Sherman.
