Established 1948   Shirley M. Olson 2 March 1937 - 22 May 1998   Denison - Arlyn Verdell "Bob" Olson, 89 of Denison, Texas; passed away Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Nanaw's Place in Denison, Texas. Arlyn was born March 26, 1929, son of Annie & Bennie Olson in Harmony, Minnesota. He graduated from Austin High School in 1946. He married Shirley Marie Flippo on July 16, 1955. Arlyn enlisted in the U.S. Air Force June 1946 and retired August 1972 as a Chief Master Sergeant. After retirement he worked at the Safeway Plant in Denison from July 1973 until September 1988. Shirley preceded him in death after 43 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Jerome and Burnell Olson. Surviving are a son, Nicky Olson and wife, Jante, of Dalhart, Texas; daughter, Kathleen Gunter and husband, Ricky, of Bells, Texas; and daughter, Kelly Pollard and spouse, Tom, of Gunter, Texas. Two grandsons, Fred Gunter and Christian Olson; 4 granddaughters, Carmen Flatt, Samantha Sneed, LeAnn Reed and Ashlee Hopewell; and 10 great-grandchildren. Also a very dear friend of many years, Olivia Barton of Oklahoma.
