Established 1948   Mary E. Nichols 1922 - 2013 L.W. Nichols 1920 - 2003  Mary Ella Key Nichols, age 90, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 14, 2013. She has joined her dear husband L.W., her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Key of Sherman; brothers: Willie Key, Homer Key and Earl Key all of Sherman; Frank Key of Denison; and Marvin Key of Arizona. Her sisters Ruth Alexander of Sherman; Betty Lilly of Ft. Worth; and Hazel Irvin of Arizona; and a dear little nephew ,Johnny Mark Key of Sherman. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews ;and a dear friend Roxanne Jennings of Sherman. She was born in the Ida community on April 14, 1922. She was a member of the Lavon Baptist Church in Garland, where she and her husband attended for many years. Her hobbies were sewing, working in the garden and traveling with her husband. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, March 20, in the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Moore officiating. Interment followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Roxanne Jennings, Claudia Collins, Sandra Laymon, Connie McQuinn, Sherry Pennell, Margaret Micheals, and Cole Jennings serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Priscilla Powers and Ginna Hall. Services were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
