Established 1948  The Denison Press Friday, December 17, 1954 pg. 4 Funeral services for Thomas Butler Nelson, 75, of 505 W. Hull, were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Tuesday morning, Rev. Allen Lee of Hull Street Christian and Rev. E.L. Potter of Calvary Baptist officiated and interment was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Nelson died Sunday night in a local hospital after a week's illness. He was born in Cleveland, Tennessee, November 10, 1879, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Butler Nelson. He was married September 13, 1900 in Garland, Texas to Zoe Meeks. Nelson was an engineer on the Katy railroad and a member of Hull Street Christian church. Aside from his wife, he is survived by three brothers, Hiram Nelson, Irving; Doc James Nelson, Garland; and Lee Nelson, Ft. Worth.
