Established 1948   Marilyn Kay Monroe , 64, passed away September 30, 2020 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, Texas. Marilyn was born April 9, 1956 in Denison, Texas, daughter of Cleve and Ruth Cannon Barnhill. She loved to hangout with her friends and gossip. Marilyn also loved her dog, Rowdy, very much. She was a loving mother, Nana and sister who will be greatly missed. Mrs. Monroe is survived by her son, Jeremy Monroe and wife, Kim; daughter, Alicia Dear and husband, Jason; sister, Lynda Prough and husband, Phillip; grandchildren, Josh, Kaylyn, Brittany, Brylon, Lexi, Brianna, Chase, Chrystal; great-grandchildren, Foster, Jaxton, Addyline, Tayleigh, Cheslee; nephews, Steve Barnhill and wife, Renee and their kids, Ashton and Landon; Brian Jackson and his child, Rylie. Graveside services were held Monday morning, October 5, 2020 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
