Established 1948 Deborah Louise Morris 30 August 1956 - 29 December 2013 The Herald Democrat January 3, 2014 Sherman - Debbie was born August 30, 1956 at Perrin Air Force Base in Denison, daughter of Donald and Norma Dannenberg. She was the first baby to be born at Perrin and to finish the first grade there. She spent her childhood living around the country and world with her parents in the Air Force. After her father's service was completed, they settled down in Edwardsville, Illinois, where she met her husband, Steve, in 1974 and were married 2 years later. In 1983 they began to grow their family by having their oldest child, Stephanie, and 3 years later they had a baby boy that they lost at birth named Charles. The next year David was born. Debbie was a very loving and caring mother to her children. She did without to better provide for them and loved them with her whole heart. In 2005 Stephanie and her husband, David Nipper, once again began to grow the family by giving her first grandchild, Stacy; and Heather followed 2 years later. In 2010, she inherited her first grandson, Caleb, and another daughter when David met Kim Alford. A bit later David and Stephanie both provided her with more grandchildren by having Kolbie and Katherine "Kay Kay." Debbie's grandchildren became her life, seeing and taking care of them as much as possible. She was always looking for the next birthday gift or just a little surprise for them. She worked as a Personal Care attendant for the elderly and grew attached to all her clients. Between working and grandchildren, she enjoyed camping, boating and most things outdoors. She lived a very loving life and will be missed forever by many. Survivors include her husband of 37 years; son, David Morris; daughter, Stephanie Morris Nipper; and parents, all of Sherman; 5 grandchildren and other extended family members. Services were held Saturday morning, January 4, 2014 in Chapel on the Hill at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Kevin George officiating. Pallbearers were Derek Bofferding, Kevin Lamberth, David Lee Morris, David Thomas Morris, Brian Shindler, and Darren Morris.
