Established 1948   Velma Louise Meeks 1927 - 1997 Hubert Ray Meeks 1933 - 2010  The Herald Democrat November 9-10, 2010 Denison - Hubert Ray Meeks of Denions, 77-year-old Pillsbury retiree, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Reba's Ranch House in Denison. Graveside services were held Wednesday afternoon, November 10, 2010 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Rev. David Gilbert officiating. Mr. Meeks was born October 28, 1933 in Beebee, Arkansas, son of Thomas Harvey and Bertie E. Davidson Meeks and attended school in Beebee. He married Velma Louise Binyon on November 9, 1956 in Durant, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on November 5, 1997. Mr. Meeks retired from Pillsbury as a mixer operator. Surviving are his sons, James Ray Meeks and wife, Kim, of Mena, Arkansas; and Dennis Boyd Meeks and wife, Angela, of Crandell; daughers, Vivian Bernice LaQueen of Lindale; Cathey Ann Reynolds and husband, Tommy, of Colbert, Oklahoma; Linda Irene Haseqawa of Honolulu, Hawaii; and Reba "Buffy" DiNicola and husband, Lino, of Sandhausen, Germany; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchidlren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Fwy., Dallas, Texas 75247.
