On
Friday, May1, 2009, Randa "Randy" Lee Means, 79, passed away
peacefull to be with the Lord and his family. He was born in
Trenton, Texas on September 20, 1929. He proudly served in the
U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After serving his country he
became a Master Plumber for more than 40 years to provide for his
family. He loved to be with people and make them feel special. He also loved golfing, dance, hunting arrowheads, and was an avid fisherman. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Aleta Verlene; daughter, Ronda Lee Means; his mother, Emily Elizabeth Means; father, Ben Means; and brothers, Azle, Bennie, Jack, Julian, and Bert Means. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Brookins and Lois Hunt, both of Denison; a son, Damon Means and wife, Renee, of Crane; daughters, Aleta Means of Crane, Texas; and Vickie Jackson and husband, Bobby, of Denison; 7 grandchildren, Shannon Hernandez and husband, Sergio; Justin Beall; Amanda "Mandy" Sikes and husband, Steve; Ashley Jackson; Randy Means and wife, Lisa; and Derek Means; 7 great-grandchildren. Randy was laid to rest along side his wife and daughter at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman, Texas with graveside services on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Honorary pallbearers were Justin Beall, Randy Means, Derek Means, Jackie Means and Johnny Means.
